Throughout history, fear mongering has been used time and time again to keep the masses in check. In a country that was founded on quite literally being the home of the free and the land of the brave, could we be any further from the very ideologies this country was built on?

“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” This age-old philosophical question may finally be answered.

There is an aptly-coined term in psychology known as “the illusion of choice.” It describes a mental state of happiness that occurs when a person who is presented with options believes they have control over their own actions - and can exercise free will in their choice - despite not knowing that the ‘options’ they were given will both yield the exact same result.

With viruses and vaccinations as the subjects on most everyone’s lips and at the forefront of everyone's minds over the last two years, heated debates about the decisions one makes regarding them are sure to ensue.
